Flower Shell 12 Gauge Shells
You might have heard the expression to “pop a cap in your ass”, but probably never to “pop a cap in your grass”, especially with the view of growing flowers!
ST, a small Scandinavian Creative Lab have come up with a range of 12 gauge shotgun shells that allow you to do just that which they are heralding as “A new way to seed”. Think I’m joking? Read on…
The Flower Shell is a standard 12 gauge shotgun round, but rather than being packed with nasty little metallic balls aimed to inflict injury, it has instead been packed with seeds, with the gunpowder levels adjusted to suit each variety (there is some cultural information you won’t find on most seed packets!). Twelve varieties of flower seeds are available from Poppy and Sunflowers through to mixed meadow flowers.
“Hey, Ma… I dun planted you a garden!”
Imagine blasting a few rounds of Daisies into your garden this summer! Ah, the serenity.
Don’t think for a second that these are not dangerous munitions though! The product comes with a warning:
“Warning: Seeds fired from The Flower Shell may cause severe damage, The shells must at all times be regarded as real live ammunition battle.”
Whilst I can’t see the Flower Shell popping up in your local Australian Garden Centre anytime soon they sure do look like fun, even if a totally ridiculous method of planting seed.
Perhaps we can even look forward to future products from them such as rounds packed with Dynamic Lifter or even a range of Snail & Slug – slugs!
